Toasts
Pine will now give you little toast messages when you maintain a daily streak of creating or reviewing cards.
You’ll also receive little toasts for each 25-card multiple you’ve created or reviewed in a session. This should provide you with some positive feedback when you’re working through your card backlogs.
Theming
More importantly, I’ve overhauled the UI to allow for custom theming on a deck-by-deck basis. You can now independently set a deck’s theme, styles, and background. The user interface will also seamlessly transition between decks with different styles, maintaining an incredibly coherent user experience.
These styles will also apply to the decks that you have shared publicly, as well as any social images that are generated when you share decks on social media:
I’ve made hundreds of other improvements to the overall UX, which should make Pine that much more pleasurable to use.
Not really a question about Pine the app, but I’m curious as to how you built it? It’s beautiful and would love to know your approach into how you designed it and the tech stack you use.
